§ 2.24.010. Composition.¶
There shall be a fire department for the City and such fire department shall consist of the fire chief and such permanent staff and other members as needed to accomplish the mission of the fire department and as determined by the fire chief and approved by the City Council by resolution. The fire chief shall be appointed by the City Manager.

§ 2.24.020. Compensation of paid members.¶
The paid members of the fire department shall receive such salaries as compensation for their services as may be fixed by the City Council by resolution.

§ 2.24.030. Compensation and insurance of reserve firefighters.¶
The reserve members of the fire department, as defined in the fire department administrative procedures, shall receive stipends, pay and benefits as compensation and shall be insured through the state compensation insurance fund against injuries received in the performance of their duties as members.

§ 2.24.040. Authority of fire chief and acting fire chief during fires.¶
The fire chief, or in his absence the acting fire chief, shall in all cases of fire have sole and entire command of all apparatus and equipment and all members of the department.

§ 2.24.050. Dismissal of reserve firefighters.¶
Any reserve firefighter may be dismissed from the fire department.
