§ 15.06.010. Adoption.

Subject to the additions, deletions and amendments set forth in this chapter, the California State Housing Law, California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Division 1, Chapter 1, Subchapter 1, current provisions, published by the state of California, incorporating by reference the Uniform Housing Code, 1997 Edition, Chapters 4, 5, and 6, and Sections 701.2 and 701.3, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials, one copy of which is on file in the office of the city clerk, is hereby adopted by reference.

§ 15.06.050. Fees.

All fees for services shall be sufficient to cover the cost of services provided and shall be fixed by resolution of the city council.

§ 15.06.070. Liability.

The building official or any employee charged with the enforcement of this chapter for the city, and acting in good faith and without malice in the discharge of his or her duties, shall not thereby render him or herself personally liable, and he or she is hereby relieved from all personal liability for any damage that may accrue to persons or property as a result of any act required under this chapter or by reason of any act or omission in the discharge of his or her duties. Any suit brought against the building official or any such employee, because of such act or omission in the enforcement of any provision of this chapter shall be defended by the city.

§ 15.06.080. Violations—Penalties.

Any person who violates any of the provisions, as adopted by this chapter, of said California Building Standards Code, shall be deemed guilty of an infraction and shall be punishable as set forth in subsection (b) of Section 36900 of the Government Code of the state of California.
