§ 5.44.010. OPEN BURNING LIMITED; PERMIT REQUIRED:

It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to ignite, set fire to or burn in any open, exposed or outdoor fire or on any vacant lot or premises, any weeds, grass, brush, papers or combustible materials of any kind, except that a special written permit may be obtained from the chief of the fire department or his/her designee, in their discretion, to do such burning.
