SEC. 13-401. - ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICIAL STREET GRADE MONUMENT.

(a) That for the purpose of establishing a record of the official grades for certain streets of the City of Fresno, it is hereby declared that the bronze metal top of that certain concrete monument located at the northwest corner of the City Hall, at "M" and Fresno Streets, in the City of Fresno, be taken as a bench mark, the elevation of which shall be two hundred ninety-two and 29/100 feet above an assumed datum-plane at or near the elevation of sea level, for all that area lying between the South property line of SHAW AVENUE and the north property line of CHURCH AVENUE, and that portion lying between the east property line of MARKS AVENUE and the west property line of CHESTNUT AVENUE.

(b) For the purpose of determining the official grades of all streets in the City of Fresno lying outside of the area described above, including the boundary avenues, the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey Datum shall be used.

(c) The grade book of the City Engineer is hereby entitled the Official Grade Book and the figures shown in said grade book are hereby declared to be the official elevations, in feet, of curbs and gutters, at the points indicated, from which the grades are to be determined.
