8.08.010 - Cesspools located in sewer assessment district No.

1-1955 declared a nuisance—Compulsory connection.

It is declared that further maintenance or use of cesspools or other local means of sewage disposal in Fillmore Sewer Assessment District No. 1-1955 constitutes a public nuisance. To protect the public health all buildings inhabited or used by human beings and in which any sewage is produced and which lie within the boundaries of Sewer Assessment District No. 1-1955 shall be connected to the system on or before January 1, 1959. The city shall cause notice to be published once that the system has been constructed and that connection to said system can be made and that the property in the district will be required to be so connected, and that if said property is not so connected within said time a notice shall be posted on each parcel of unconnected property that until so connected it shall not be inhabited or used by human beings.
