§ 12.08.010 DEFINITION.¶
For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUSINESS DISTRICT. Any block in any street in the town where a majority of the front footage of the property facing upon the side of the street upon which a sidewalk or portion thereof is to be constructed is used for business purposes.

§ 12.08.020 PERMIT REQUIRED.¶
No sidewalk shall be constructed, nor the construction thereof be commenced, unless a permit therefor is first obtained from the Superintendent of Streets.

§ 12.08.030 SPECIFICATIONS; GENERALLY.¶
All sidewalks shall be constructed under the supervision of the Superintendent of Streets and in accordance with specifications prescribed therefor by the Town Council.

§ 12.08.040 CONCRETE REQUIRED.¶
All sidewalks constructed in the town after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be constructed of concrete in the manner and in accordance with the requirements set out in this chapter.

§ 12.08.050 BUSINESS DISTRICT; FULL SIDEWALK WIDTH TO BE PAVED.¶
All sidewalks constructed in any business district shall be paved to the full width of the sidewalk.

§ 12.08.060 MINIMUM WIDTH; CONFORMANCE TO EXISTING SIDEWALKS.¶
All sidewalks constructed in the town shall have a minimum width of three feet and shall conform in width and location to contiguous sidewalks previously constructed.

§ 12.08.070 OWNER MAY PAVE CURBLINE.¶
The owner of any property, constructing sidewalks thereon, may, at his or her option, make the sidewalks of a width which will reach from the property line of the owner to the curbline, but not less than a minimum of three feet in width.

§ 12.08.080 CORNERS AND INTERSECTIONS.¶
At all corners and intersections of streets, the width of the paving shall conform to the width of the paving upon the sidewalks so intersecting.
