§ 6-299. Code adopted; copies on file.

  • Sec. 6-299.1. The California Existing Building Code, Appendix Chapter Al, Part 10, Title 24, California Code of Regulations, a portion of the California Building Standards Code, as defined in the California State Health and Safety Code Section 18910, as adopted and published by the California Building Standards Commission pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Sections 17922 and 18938, is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference for the purpose of promoting public safety and welfare by reducing the risk of death or injury that may result from the effects of earthquakes on existing unreinforced masonry bearing wall buildings within the city, save and except such portions as are hereinafter amended, deleted, or added.

Sec. 6-299.2. One copy of such code has been and is now on file in the office of the city clerk. (Ord. 2008-02R, § 15, 2-6-08)
