§ 9.24.010. Prohibition.

It is unlawful to appear, bathe, sunbathe, walk or be in any public place, which includes being on public or private property in a location open to public view from adjacent public or private property in such a manner that the genitals, vulva, pubis, pubic symphysis, pubic hair, natal cleft, perineum, anus, anal region or pubic hair region of any person, or any portion of the breast at or below the upper edge of the areola thereof of any female person is exposed to public view or is not covered by an opaque covering.

§ 9.24.020. Exceptions.

A. The provisions of this chapter do not apply to children under the age of six years.

B. The provisions of this chapter do not apply to persons engaged in a live theatrical performance in a theater, concert hall, or other similar establishment located on public land.

C. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prohibit any act or acts which are expressly authorized by law.

D. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to authorize an act or acts which are expressly prohibited by the penal code of the State of California.
