Sec. 9.32.010. - Payment authorized.

The County shall pay a reward in the amount of $1,000.00 to each person who furnishes information leading to conviction of any person for willfully destroying, damaging, altering or removing any County road sign regulating the speed or movement of motor vehicles; or littering, dumping or otherwise disposing of trash, garbage, offal or waste contrary to County, State or Federal law; or defacing public property, including the landscape.

Sec. 9.32.020. - Collection requirements.

A. Each person, to qualify for payment of the reward, shall comply with all of the following requirements:

  1. Personally observe the violation;

  2. Make a prompt report of the violation to the appropriate County law enforcement agency or to the County Department of Transportation;

  3. Give sufficient identifying information to enable the appropriate law enforcement agency to identify the violator;

  4. At all times stand ready, willing and able to sign a misdemeanor complaint charging the violator with the offense, and to testify at any judicial proceedings.

B. The reward payable under this chapter shall be payable only if a conviction is obtained.
