Sec. 8.84.710. - Agreement to reimburse.¶
A person's eligibility to receive general assistance shall not be established until the person has signed an agreement to reimburse the County for all assistance provided under the provisions of this chapter.

Sec. 8.84.720. - Liens.¶
A person's eligibility to receive assistance under the provisions of this chapter shall not be established until the person has signed a lien presented to him or her upon any property currently owned by the person, or which might be acquired in the future as security for the performance of the agreement to reimburse the County for all assistance granted under the provisions of this chapter.

Sec. 8.84.730. - Time for reimbursement.¶
A person who receives assistance under the provisions of this chapter shall reimburse the County for all assistance granted upon termination of the assistance. Upon termination of assistance, a referral shall be made to the County Collector by the Agency.

Sec. 8.84.740. - County Collector.¶
Upon receipt of a referral from the Agency, the County Revenue Recovery Division shall take all actions necessary to secure full reimbursement for assistance provided under the provisions of this chapter.

Sec. 8.84.750. - ESTA participation credits.¶
Monetary credits shall be applied to the general assistance debt upon the recipient's completion of employment activities.

Sec. 8.84.760. - Release of lien.¶
Upon the sale of any property upon which the County has a lien for reimbursement of assistance, the proceeds of the sale, after payment of prior liens, shall be applied to reimbursement of the assistance unless the Board of Supervisors releases the lien, or the priority thereof, after settlement of the claim, on some other basis.

Sec. 8.84.770. - Interim assistance.¶
A.
Where an indigent applies for and receives Federal SSI (Supplemental Security Income) benefits while concurrently receiving general assistance under this chapter, such assistance shall be reimbursed by an interim assistance reimbursement agreement to the County.
B.
The County is exempted from payment of representation fees as charged by an attorney at law or other authorized representative in connection with the denial or termination of SSI benefits. Such fee shall not reduce the County claim for reimbursement.
