8.60.040 - Prohibition.

No person shall occupy, maintain or allow others to occupy or maintain, any building, lot, premises, vehicle or other place over which he/she has ownership or control, in a condition which permits the breeding or harboring of rodents, flies, fleas, lice, mosquitoes, cockroaches, ticks, bedbugs, or other vermin.

8.60.050 - Additional prohibitions regarding rodents.

No person shall permit the accumulation in any building, lot, premises, vehicle, or other place over which he/she has ownership or control of any material that might serve to harbor rodents unless such material is elevated not less than eighteen (18) inches above the floor or ground with a clear intervening space thereunder.

8.60.060 - Additional prohibition regarding flies.

No person shall permit the accumulation in any building, lot, premises, vehicle, or other place over which he/she has ownership or control of any fly-breeding material. Such materials shall be removed so often as is necessary to prevent the breeding or habitation of flies and shall be disposed of in a manner satisfactory to the city health officer. Every building, lot, premises, vehicle, or other place shall be clean and satisfactory to the city health officer.

8.60.070 - Additional prohibition regarding mosquitos.

No person shall permit the accumulation in or under any building, lot, premises, vehicle or other place over which he/she has ownership or control of any stagnant pool of water or other breeding sources for mosquitoes. Such sources shall either be eliminated by draining, or filling, or treated with appropriate chemicals or biological control agents in a manner and with a frequency satisfactory to the city health officer.
