Chapter 8.78 — GARAGE CONVERSIONS — Dublin Zoning Code

8.78.010 Purpose and Intent. ¶

The purpose of this Chapter is to provide for the conversion by the owners of the single-family dwellings of enclosed garages to living space. Ord. 31-05 (December 2005)

8.78.020 Procedure. ¶

Issuance of a building permit for the conversion of an enclosed garage in a single family dwelling into living space shall be ministerial if the following criteria Are all met:

A. There are no modifications to the garage door to the exterior of the dwelling except for the addition of window(s) to the garage’s wall(s) that do not front on the street.

B. Two full-size unenclosed parking spaces will be available on the parcel following the conversion. Ord. 31-05 (December 2005)
