§ 10200. DEFINITIONS.

For the purpose of this chapter, certain words and terms are defined and shall be construed as herein set forth unless otherwise expressly stated or the context clearly indicates a different intention.

§ 10200.1. SKATE PARK.

"Skate Park" shall mean any public facility which is owned by the City, and which has been designated as a "Skate Park" designed for skateboarding, inline skating and roller-skating.

§ 10201. PROTECTIVE GEAR.

Any person riding or using a skateboard, inline skating and/or roller-skating in the skate park must wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads that meets State and local standards.

§ 10202. LIABILITY.

The use of a skate park shall be deemed a hazardous recreational activity within the meaning of Section 831.7 of the Government Code.

§ 10203. PROHIBITED USES.

It is hereby prohibited for any person to ride or use any item other than skateboards, roller skates, and inline skates on the skating surface of a skate park, or to cause such items to be ridden or used on the skating surface of a skate park.

§ 10204. RECKLESS OPERATION.

It is hereby prohibited for any person to ride or use any skateboard, roller skates or in-line skates at a skate park in a reckless manner or with willful disregard for the safety of persons or property, or to cause such items to be ridden or used in such a manner.

§ 10205. ENFORCEMENT.

In addition to other enforcement options provided by law, the Director or designee shall have the authority to eject and expel from any skate park any person who is in violation of this Chapter.
