§ 3900. DEFINITION.

Unless the context otherwise requires, the definition set forth in this section shall govern the construction of this chapter.

"Loiter"

shall mean to commit any act prohibited by California Penal Code Section 653b in or about a school or public place at or near which children attend or normally congregate.

§ 3902. LOITERING BY REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS PROHIBITED.

No individual that has served a term of imprisonment or jail time for an offense for which registration is required pursuant to Section 290 of the Penal Code, shall knowingly loiter, as that term is defined in Section 3900 of this chapter.

§ 3904. PENALTY.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable in accordance with subsection (c) of Section 1200 of this code.
