§ 2.06.010. Appointment.

The city manager shall appoint a city clerk to hold office at the pleasure of the city manager, in accordance with the authority vested in him or her under Section 02.03.020(e) of the Davis Municipal Code.

§ 2.06.020. Powers and duties.

The duties of the city clerk shall be such as are imposed upon him or her by law, by ordinance of the city, or by the city manager.

§ 2.06.030. Bond.

Before entering upon his or her duties as city clerk, the city clerk shall execute a bond to the city conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties as city clerk. The bond shall also cover the deputy city clerks, if any. The bond shall be in an amount recommended by the city attorney and fixed by the city council by resolution. The amount of the bond may be changed from time to time.
