§ 2.18.010. Appointment.

The city manager shall appoint a city treasurer to hold office at the pleasure of the city manager, in accordance with the authority vested in him or her under Section 2.03.020(e) of the Davis Municipal Code.

§ 2.18.020. Powers and duties.

The duties of the city treasurer shall be such as are imposed upon him or her by law, by ordinance of the city, or by the city manager.

§ 2.18.030. Bond.

Before entering upon his or her duties as city treasurer, the city treasurer shall execute a bond to the city conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her duties as city treasurer. The bond shall also cover the deputy city treasurers, if any. The bond shall be in an amount recommended by the city attorney and fixed by the city council by resolution. The amount of the bond may be changed from time to time.
