24-18.002 - Appointment—Compensation—Staff.

Pursuant to Government Code Sections 27720 ff., the board of supervisors establishes the office of county hearing officer and shall appoint the county hearing officer and the county hearing officer's staff. The hearing officer shall appoint the county hearing officer's staff as may be provided by the board, including any part-time phonographic reporter who may be employed outside civil service.

24-18.004 - Duties—Contracts.

The duties of the hearing officer shall be those established by statute and by the board of supervisors.

The hearing officer may perform services for other local public entities pursuant to board contract.
