1.20.010 - Designated.¶
The seal of the City is the same as that heretofore Used: In a circle the words, "City of Colton California" and in the center of such circle the words, "Incorporated 1887."

1.20.020 - Custodian.¶
The City Clerk is the custodian of the seal of the City.

1.20.030 - Unlawful Use of official indicia.¶
It is unlawful for any Person to knowingly or wilfully Use, or cause the Use of, a Copy or replica of the seal of the City, the original or a Copy or replica of City letterhead stationery, Business cards, or any other official indicia of the City or any City Department or office for any private or Commercial Purpose.

1.20.040 - Purposes defined.¶
"Private purpose," as that phrase is Used in this chapter, means and includes, but is not limited to: (1) the promotion, support or endorsement of or opposition to any candidate for a public office or the support or endorsement of or opposition to any ballot measure, initiative, referendum, or any other Matter voted upon at a public election; (2) the promotion, support or endorsement of a Person, issue or cause; or (3) the promotion, support or endorsement of any religious, charitable or otherwise not for profit organization, entity or cause. "Commercial Purpose," as that phrase is Used in this chapter, means and includes, but is not limited to, the promotion, support or endorsement of any group, entity, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, firm or association which is for profit and/or connected in any way with trade, commerce, or Business.

1.20.050 - Penalty for Violation.¶
Any Person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter (as determined by the City Council), Shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon a conviction thereof Shall be punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for a period of not more than six Months or by both such fine and imprisonment.

1.20.060 - Penalty supplemental to other penalties and remedies.¶
The penalties imposed by the provisions of this chapter Shall be supplemental and in addition to any other penalties or remedies which May be imposed or provided by other Laws or Ordinances, such as disciplinary action, removal from public office, judicial order or judgment, or other Matter.
