Chapter 2.28 — EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM

2.28.010 - Contract—Authorized.

A contract between the city council of Clayton, and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is authorized, a copy of said contract being attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter, marked "Exhibit A," and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full.

2.28.012 - Two Percent (2%) at Fifty (50)—Amendment for Local Safety Members.

Effective June 1, 1997, local safety members shall be entitled to a "2% at 50" full formula benefit, and the funding period is extended to the year 2016, which benefit shall remain subject to change by mutual agreement of the City and the CPOA.

2.28.015 - Military Service Credit.

The contract between City and PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) is amended to provide for Section 21024 Military Service Credit for local miscellaneous and local safety members. (See exhibit on following pages.)

2.28.016 - Survivors Benefits.

The contract between City of Clayton and PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) is amended to provide for Section 21573, Third Level of 1959 Survivors Benefits. (See exhibit on following pages.)

2.28.020 - Contract—Execution.

The mayor of the city and its city council is authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of said agency.
