Chapter 17.203 — IMPROVEMENT PLANS

§ 17.203.000. PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF IMPROVEMENT PLANS.

Plans, profiles, and details for proposed subdivision improvements shall be prepared under the direction and signed by a civil engineer registered in the State of California. Such improvement plans shall contain information and shall be in a format as specified by the City Engineer. A written listing of required improvement plan information and format shall be provided by the City Engineer on request.

Improvement plans shall be submitted to the City Engineer at least 60 days prior to submission of a final map. Plan check, inspection, and other improvement plan fees shall be paid as required in Chapters 17.150 through 17.168. (08-05)

§ 17.203.010. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF IMPROVEMENT PLANS.

The City Engineer shall review and act upon improvement plans in accordance with the time limits specified in the Subdivision Map Act. After review of submitted improvement plans, the City Engineer shall indicate any required revisions to the plans. Subsequently, upon finding that all required revisions have been completed and that the improvement plans are consistent with all tentative map conditions of approval, the General Plan, any applicable specific plans, and this Code, the City Engineer shall sign and date the plans. § 17.203.020. SUBDIVIDER'S RESPONSIBILITY.

Approval of improvement plans shall in no way relieve the subdivider or the subdivider's engineer of responsibility for the design of the improvements or from any deficiencies resulting from the design, nor from compliance with any tentative map condition of approval. (08-05)
