Chino Hills Municipal Code Ch. 10.34 Parking Lot Utility Services

For purposes of this chapter, certain words and terms are defined as follows:

"Parking lot(s)" means a parcel of land on which construction will occur or is underway on or after the effective date of this ordinance codified in this chapter and that is used primarily for the parking of vehicles regardless of whether the parcel only provides for parking on the surface of the parcel or contains a multi-level, above and/or below ground parking structure.

"Utility service" means electric, gas and communication utility services.

Parking lots located on property owned or leased by a public agency, or a subdivision thereof, and that are in at least partially available for use by the public generally and are adjacent or within one thousand (1000) feet of public agency and private land uses shall be separately metered and served for utility services unless the legislative body of the public agency passes a resolution determining that a separate meter for the parking lot is not required.
