9.40.010 - Curfew—Loitering prohibited.

A. It is unlawful for any minor under the age of eighteen years to loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, highways, road, alleys, parks, public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places, between the hour of ten-thirty p.m. and daylight of the following day; provided, however, that the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian, or where the minor is upon an errand directed by his or her parent or legal guardian.

B. The provisions of this section shall not apply to any chaperoned events sponsored by any established educational institution, the Parent-Teachers Association or any established charitable organization.

C. Each violation of the provisions of this section shall constitute a separate offense.

9.40.020 - Proprietors to sanction presence in certain establishments at night prohibited.

It is unlawful for any proprietor, keeper, clerk or any other person, having charge or control of any cafe, tavern, restaurant, bar, eating place or public dancehall, to permit any person under the age of eighteen years to remain in such public place between the hour of ten-thirty p.m. and daylight of the following day, unless such person is accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

9.40.030 - Proprietors to report presence in certain establishments at night.

Each owner, agent, manager or keeper of a hotel, boardinghouse, lodginghouse, tenement house, motor court, or apartment house shall immediately report to the chief of police the presence therein of any and all minors, after the hour of ten-thirty p.m. until daylight of the following day, whom he has reason to believe to be under the age of eighteen years, unless the minor is accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and in making such report shall state to the chief of police the name, age, last known place of abode, and the names and residences of the parents, guardians or other custodian of such minor, so far as such information can be ascertained from the minor.
