1.16.010 - City seal.¶
The corporate seal of the city is depicted below and is comprised of two concentric circles. The inner circle depicts a man seated on a horse, pictured against a background of hills, palm trees, sky and clouds. The mounted man is depicted holding his hat in his left hand in a position of greeting, and his right hand holding the reins of the horse. Below the horse and rider it states, "Incorporated October 22, 1964." The outer circle contains the following words: "The City of Camarillo California" and "Las Personas Son La Ciudad."
For certain purposes, as may be determined by the city clerk, a text only version of the city seal may be used.

1.16.020 - City logo.¶
The city logo consists of the words "City of Camarillo" with a magenta bougainvillea wrapped around the "C" in Camarillo as is depicted below:

1.16.030 - Use of city seal and city logo.¶
A. The city clerk has charge of the city seal and city logo, and will affix the city seal to all certificates and documents as may be required by law, by this code, or by ordinance of the city.
B. All other uses of the city seal or city logo are restricted to official city business and such other appropriate uses that promote the interests of the city as may be authorized in writing by the city clerk.
C. No person may make or use the city seal or city logo or any cut, facsimile, or reproduction of the city seal or city logo, or to make or use any seal or logo or any design which is an imitation, in the design of, or which may be mistaken for the city seal or city logo or the design of the city seal or logo, without the written authorization of the city.
D. City officers, city employees, members of the city council, and members of city boards and commissions, may use stationary and printed materials with the city seal or city logo, or facsimile of the city seal or city logo, while acting within the scope of their office or employment.
E. No person, including any elected officer of the city, may use the city seal or city logo, or facsimile of the city seal or city logo, in any correspondence or other printed materials distributed in favor of or against any ballot measure or in favor of or against any candidate for public office.
