§ 5.10.150. Operational regulations.¶
In addition to the general provisions provided in Article I of this chapter, the following additional conditions and regulations shall apply to peddlers and solicitors within the City:
A. Every peddler or solicitor and their agents, employees, and representatives shall, at all times when engaged in peddling or soliciting activities, have in his/her immediate possession the permit issued under the provisions of this chapter, and when so soliciting or peddling shall display the same upon demand of any law enforcement officer and upon demand of any person to who the peddler or solicitor is peddling or soliciting.
B. It is unlawful for any peddler or solicitor to represent by words, writing, or action that he is some other peddler or solicitor, that he is a partner, employee, or agent of any peddler or solicitor, when in fact he is not the partner, agent or employee of such peddler or solicitor, or that he is the employee, representative, agent or partner of any person when in fact he is not the employee, representative, agent or partner of such person.
C. Pursuant to Chapter 12.24 CMC, Park Rules and Regulations, it is unlawful and a misdemeanor for any person to peddle or solicit for any trade, occupation, business, or profession in any City-operated park without the prior written permission of the administrator or approved under a special event operating with a permit issued by the City.

§ 5.10.160. Locations.¶
In addition to the requirements established in CMC § 5.10.100, no peddler, solicitor, nor any person pretending to be such, whether regulated by this chapter or not, shall ring the doorbell or knock at any building whereon a sign bearing the words including, but not limited to, "No Peddlers," "No Solicitors," or words of similar meaning unless such person has an appointment with the occupants of the building.

§ 5.10.170. Hours.¶
Peddling or soliciting in the City shall be limited to the hours between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Peddling or soliciting at other times is prohibited unless exempt under CMC § 5.10.190.

§ 5.10.180. Enforcement.¶
Notwithstanding anything in this article, the enforcement officer shall have the authority to require the immediate cessation of soliciting or peddling activities if they deem it reasonably necessary for the preservation of public health, safety, or welfare.

§ 5.10.190. Exemptions.¶
The provisions of this article shall not apply to any solicitor soliciting on behalf of any religious, charitable, educational, youth, or political organization or to any person who is exempt from the provisions of this chapter by virtue of the Constitution or statutes of the United States of America or of the State of California.
