§ 10.24.010. Erection of stop signs.¶
Whenever the Council designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a through street, the Director of Public Works shall erect and maintain a stop sign on each and every street intersecting such through street or portion thereof so designated at those entrances of intersections where a stop is required. Whenever the Council designates any intersection as one at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances thereto, the Director of Public Works shall erect and maintain stop signs. Every such sign shall conform with, and shall be placed as provided in, the Vehicle Code.
§ 10.24.020. Stop required at through street or stop sign.¶
A. The following streets are through streets for the purpose of this chapter: Foothill Boulevard, Lincoln Avenue, Washington Street and Lake Street for their entire length.
B. The provisions of this section shall also apply at one or more entrances to the intersections as such entrances and intersections are established by resolution of the Council.
§ 10.24.030. Emerging from alley, driveway or building.¶
The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway or building shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or into the sidewalk area extending across any alleyway or driveway.
