8.02.010 - Adoption.¶
A. The "Los Angeles County Public Health Code" as adopted by the board of supervisors of the county of Los Angeles as Ordinance No. 7583, as amended through and including February 28, 1998, is adopted by reference as the health code of the City of Calabasas.
B. Chapter 8.04 of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended through and including February 28, 1998, relating to public health licenses is also adopted and incorporated into the health code of the City of Calabasas.
C. It is the intention of the city council to establish regulations or standards which will provide reasonable health standards and to provide for general control of conditions constituting hazards or damages to health and life and for the abatement of these conditions through the entire city. Copies of the codes being adopted, the "Los Angeles County Public Health Code" and the "Los Angeles County Public Health License Code" are on file with the city clerk and are open to public inspection.

8.02.020 - Definitions.¶
Wherever the "Los Angeles County Public Health Code" uses the following words or phrases, they, respectively, shall be defined as follows:
"County" or "County of Los Angeles" shall mean the City of Calabasas.
"Health officer" or "County Health Officer" shall mean the health officer of the City of Calabasas.

8.02.030 - Violation—Penalty.¶
It is unlawful for any person, firm, partnership, corporation or other legal entity to violate any provision, or fail to comply with any of the requirements, of this chapter. Any person, firm, partnership, corporation or other legal entity violating any provision of this chapter, or failing to comply with any of its requirements, shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment of not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm, partnership, corporation or legal entity shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or any portion thereof during which any violation of this chapter is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm, partnership, corporation or legal entity and shall be deemed punishable therefore as provided in this chapter.
