§ 12878.24

Upon receipt of any such petition for modification or upon initiation of any such proceeding by its own action the board or department shall conduct such modification proceedings as near as may be in the manner provided in this chapter for the formation of maintenance areas, and may make such modification if in its discretion and judgment the best interests of the State and the area affected will be served thereby.
