§ 6100 (operative January 1, 2019)

(a) A dealer who conducts a wholesale motor vehicle auction and reports the sale of the vehicle in the manner prescribed in subdivision (b) of Section 4456 shall include the phrase “SOLD THROUGH [name of dealer conducting the auction]” and the date of the auction on the certificate of title of every vehicle sold, in a manner prescribed by the department.

(b) This section shall become operative January 1, 2019.

(Repealed (in Sec. 21) and added by Stats. 2016, Ch. 90, Sec. 22. (AB 516) Effective January 1, 2017. Section operative January 1, 2019, by its own provisions.)
