§ 50504

The department may make grants to nonprofit housing sponsors and local public entities for operating, administrative, and other expenses of planning, constructing, rehabilitating, and operating assisted housing and may make grants to housing sponsors for the benefit of residents of assisted housing in order to achieve lower rentals for some or all of the units within the assisted housing. Such grants may not be made with moneys derived from the sale of bonds.
