§ 3.44.010. Public library established.¶
Pursuant to the provisions of an act entitled "An act to provide for the establishment and maintenance of public libraries within municipalities," approved March 23, 1901 (Statutes 1901, page 557), and the acts amendatory thereof, a public library is established in and for the city. (1941 Code § 630)
§ 3.44.020. Management of public library.¶
The public library shall be managed by a board of library trustees, consisting of five members, to be appointed and to act in the manner provided by the laws of the state of California. (1941 Code § 631)
