Burbank Municipal Code Art. 4 Numbering System

A numbering system is established for this code as further provided in this article. As soon as practicable after the effective date of the ordinance which adds this article to this code, the City Clerk shall, in whatever order and within such time period as they can reasonably accomplish such task, cause the sections of this code to be renumbered so that the first number shall reflect the existing chapter in which such section is contained, followed by a dash symbol, and next followed by numbers which shall be a combination of, first, the existing article number in which the section is contained and secondly, numbers sequentially commencing with the number one. For example, the fiftieth section of the third article of the thirty second chapter, would be numbered 32-350. This section is numbered accordingly as the first section in the fourth article of Chapter 1. The only exception to the provisions of this section shall be as otherwise expressly provided by ordinance adopted by Council. [Added by Ord. No. 3058, eff. 2/21/87; amended by Ord.
