§ 14.12.010. Sewer not available.

Where connection to a public sewer is not required under the provisions of Section 14.08.050, the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with the rules, regulations, and ordinances of the health department of Santa Barbara County.

§ 14.12.020. Abandonment of facilities.

At such time as connection to a public sewer is required with respect to a property served by a private sewage disposal system, as provided in Section 14.08.050, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this title, and any septic tanks, cesspools and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material as determined by the city inspector.

§ 14.12.030. Cost of maintenance by owner.

The owner shall, at the owner's sole expense, operate and maintain the private sewage disposal facilities in a sanitary manner at all times.
