§ 8.24.010. Definitions.¶
Class one inflammable liquids
include all liquids with flash point below one hundred ten degrees Fahrenheit as determined in a Saybolt electric open-cup tester.
Class two inflammable liquids
include all liquids which emit a flammable vapor with flash point at or above one hundred ten degrees Fahrenheit, as determined in a Saybolt electric open-cup tester.

§ 8.24.020. Specifications for dispensing—Protection of pumps.¶
A. Class one and class two inflammable liquids, as defined in Section 8.24.010, shall be delivered from dispensing devices only by the operators of such devices and employees or authorized representatives. When unattended, all pumps and other facilities for the delivery of class one and class two inflammable liquids shall be locked or other effective provision shall be made to prevent public access to supplies of such inflammable liquids.
B. However, this chapter shall not prohibit remote dispensing systems which conform to the current Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code of the National Fire Protection Association where the dispensing unit is controlled from inside of a building where the person controlling the dispensing unit has a clear view of the pump island.

§ 8.24.030. Violation—Penalty.¶
Any person violating this chapter shall be subject to a fine of not to exceed five hundred dollars or imprisonment in the City Jail of the city of Brentwood, or the County Jail of the county of Contra Costa for a term of not more than six months, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
