§ 16.00.010. Fire department created; composition.¶

There is hereby created and established a Fire Department for the city which shall consist of a Fire Chief who shall be appointed by the City Manager and such other employees as shall be authorized from time to time by the Council. In addition, the Fire Chief may designate and remove, from time to time, without cause, such volunteer firefighters as he or she shall desire, within such number limitation as shall be established by resolution.
