9.84.010 - Prohibited—Exceptions.¶
It is unlawful for any person to discharge any firearm within the city limits except as provided below:
A. Where such person is authorized by law to carry such firearm and the same is discharged in the lawful performance of duty;
B. During applicable California hunting season(s) the chief of police shall designate areas within the city limits where those who hold valid California hunting licenses may discharge firearms in the pursuit of game animals.

9.84.020 - Penalty for violation.¶
Any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor, and every person found guilty of violating any of said provisions, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in the sum of not more than three hundred dollars, or imprisoned in the city or county jail for not more than three months, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
