10.08.010 - Paved thoroughfares.¶
A. It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park any motor vehicle on any paved thoroughfare within the city, other than Hobsonway, between the hours of two and five a.m.
B. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an infraction, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of Section 1.24.030.

10.08.020 - Hobsonway.¶
A. It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park any motor vehicle on Hobsonway between the hours of two and four a.m.
B. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an infraction, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of Section 1.24.030.

10.08.030 - U.S. Highway 60 and 70.¶
A. No operator of any vehicle shall stop, stand, park or leave standing such vehicle in any of the following places, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer or other authorized officer, or traffic sign or signal: on U.S. Highway 60 and 70 between Lovekin Boulevard and the most westerly city limits.
B. Where the parking of vehicles is permitted, between the East City limits and Lovekin Boulevard on U.S. Highway 60-70 in the city, the operator of any vehicle parking such vehicle shall park the vehicle parallel to the curb or parallel to the boundary lines of U.S. Highway 60-70 where no curbs exist. Angle parking is prohibited in the above-described area.
C. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of Section 1.24.030.

10.08.040 - Two-day parking restriction.¶
A. There shall be no parking or the standing of any vehicle on Monday and Thursday during the times of five a.m. until twelve noon in the following areas:
Earle Street from Barnard to Chanslorway: East side;
Seventh Street from Linda Lane to North City Limits;
Wisconsin Street from Fifth Street to Seventh Street;
Michigan Street from Fifth Street to Seventh Street;
Fifth Street from Barnard to Chanslorway, east side;
Fifth Street from a point 190 feet North of Barnard to Chanslorway: west side;
Chanslorway from Third Street to Fifth Street: South side;
Third Street from Barnard Street to Chanslorway: East side;
Fourth Street from Linda Lane to Canal;
North Fourth Street South from Chanslorway to the Cul-de-sac.
B. There shall be no parking or the standing of any vehicle on Tuesday and Friday during the times of five a.m. until twelve noon in the following areas:
Broadway from Chanslorway to North City Limits: West side;
Chanslorway from Broadway to Main Street: North side;
California Street from Eucalyptus Avenue to Lovekin Blvd.: South side;
California Street from a point 310 feet West of Eucalyptus Avenue to Lovekin Blvd.: North side;
Nevada Street from Eucalyptus Avenue to alley: West side;
Eucalyptus Avenue from Nevada Street to Downs Court;
Downs Court;
Glider Court;
Montezuma Street from Eucalyptus to alley: East side;
Cortez Street from Coronada Street to alley: West side;
Ocotillo Road from Lovekin Blvd. to Eucalyptus Avenue;
Joshua Tree;
Eucalyptus Avenue from Ocotillo Road to Tenth Avenue;
Lovekin Blvd. from Hobsonway to Chanslorway: West side;
Lovekin Blvd. from Chanslorway to Holley Lane: East side;
Solano Avenue from Chanslorway to Hobsonway;
Carlton Avenue from Chanslorway to Hobsonway;
West Barnard from Lovekin Blvd. to San Jacinto Street;
San Gorgonio Street from San Luis Way to San Jacinto Street;
San Luis Way from Barnard to Wisconsin Street;
San Jacinto Street from Barnard to Wisconsin St.: West side;
West Michigan Street from San Luis Way to San Jacinto Street;
Wisconsin from Carlton to San Jacinto Street.
C. There shall be no parking or the standing of any vehicle on Wednesday and Saturday during the times of five a.m. until twelve noon in the following areas:
South Solano Street from Donlon to end of street: South of Southern Avenue;
West Wells from Lovekin Blvd. to Solano Street;
Southern Avenue from Lovekin Blvd. to Solano Street;
South Willow from Hobsonway to Rice Street: East side;
South Palm Drive from Hobsonway to Rice Street;
South Ash Street from Hobsonway to Rice Street: West side.
D. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of Section 1.24.030.

10.08.050 - Commercial vehicles in residential zones.¶
Unless excepted pursuant to paragraph A below, no commercial or construction vehicle, or towed or commercial equipment, or agricultural equipment, shall be parked on private property or on public right-of-way in residential zones unless the vehicle or equipment is screened from public view and adjacent properties. The term "commercial or construction vehicle, or towed, or commercial equipment, or agricultural equipment" includes, but is not limited to, utility body trucks, construction or agriculture tractors, construction vehicles and towed equipment, semitruck tractors, semitruck trailers, dump trucks, step van delivery trucks or any parts or apparatus of any of the above.
A. Commercial Vehicles Exempted. The following commercial vehicles are exempted from the above paragraph:
Pickup trucks, utility vans and similar utility vehicles, each of which does not exceed eight feet in height or twenty feet in combined total length;
All vehicles while being used in actual construction work on a permit-approved construction site;
All vehicles in the process of making a pickup or delivery;
All vehicles used to load or unload agriculture products or supplies, and all vehicles used in cultivation or harvesting of crops, pertaining to that specific property;
Government, utility and emergency service vehicles; and
All vehicles used in gardening or landscaping businesses, each of which does not exceed eight feet in height or twenty feet in length.
B. Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of Section 1.24.030.

10.08.060 - Recreational vehicles and trailers.¶
A. No person shall park or leave standing any recreational vehicle or trailer, regardless of length or width, upon any public street or highway in the city for a period of time exceeding forty-eight (48) hours.
B. No person shall run electrical cords, extension cords, hoses, cables, or other items across, above or on the parkway or sidewalk from a residential or commercial property to a recreational vehicle or trailer parked on a public street.
C. The following definitions will govern the construction of the words and phrases used in this section:
"Recreational vehicle" shall have the meaning set forth in California Health and Safety Code Section 18010, and shall include house cars as defined by California Vehicle Code Section 362 and attached trailers.
"Trailer" shall mean a trailer, semitrailer, camp trailer (including tent trailers), unmounted camper, trailer bus, or trailer coach as defined in Sections 242, 243, 550, 630, 635, and 636 of the California Vehicle Code, or fifth-wheel travel trailer, as defined in Section 324 of the Vehicle Code.
Successive acts of parking within a two-tenths of a mile area shall be presumed to be a single act of parking for purposes of this chapter.
D. Any person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and will be subject to citation, towing, or both.
E. The time limitations on standing or parking in this section will not relieve any person from the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions of the California Vehicle Code or the Blythe Municipal Code prohibiting or limiting the standing or parking of vehicles in specified places or at specified times.

10.08.070 - Parking for more than seventy-two hours prohibited; removal.¶
A. For purposes of this section, the term "vehicle" means any device by which any person or property may be propelled, moved, or drawn upon a street or highway, except a device moved exclusively by human power.
B. No person shall park, leave standing, or store, or cause to be parked, left standing or stored, any vehicle upon any highway, street, alley, or city-owned parking lot for seventy-two or more consecutive hours.
C. Any vehicle that has been parked or left standing in the same location or parking spot for seventy-two consecutive hours must be moved or relocated to a different location or parking spot that is at least one-half of a mile (two thousand six hundred forty feet) from its current location and may not return to the same location or parking spot for at least forty-eight hours after its departure.
D. A vehicle shall be deemed to have been parked or left standing in violation of the seventy-two-hour parking limit if:
The vehicle has not been moved or relocated to a different location or parking spot at least one-half of a mile (two thousand six hundred forty feet) from the location or parking spot where it was originally parked or left standing for seventy-two consecutive hours; or
Less than forty-eight hours after the vehicle is moved or relocated as required by this section, the vehicle returns to and is parked or left standing in the same location or parking spot where it was previously parked or left standing for seventy-two consecutive hours.
E. The city may remove or cause the removal of any vehicle parked or left standing in violation of the seventy-two-hour parking limit set forth in this section in accordance with the requirements of the California Vehicle Code.
F. The prohibition set forth in this section shall apply to all vehicles parked or left standing within city limits unless expressly exempt from this parking restriction by another section of this code.
