§ 9.16.010. Gambling Prohibited.

A. Every person who, within the incorporated limits of the City of Blue Lake, deals, plays, or carries on, opens or causes to be opened, or who conducts either as owner, agent, or employee, whether for hire or not, any gambling game, other than the gambling games prohibited by Section 330 of the Penal Code of the State of California, played with cards, dice, or any device, for money, checks, credit, or any other representative of value; and every person who plays or bets at or against any gambling game prohibited by the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor.

B. Every person, being the owner, occupant, or entitled to the possession of any building, house, or premises situated within the incorporated limits of the City of Blue Lake, who permits or allows any of the gambling games prohibited by this chapter to be played in or upon said premises, house, or building, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

§ 9.16.020. Violation and Penalty.

Every person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00 or by imprisonment not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
