8.31.100 - Posting authority.¶
The director of public works is empowered to post any or all city lands and buildings in such a fashion as shall be designed to control entry to such land and buildings.

8.31.110 - Signs—Posting.¶
A. Posting of unfenced city land shall be accomplished by placing signs prohibiting trespass at intervals of not less than four hundred feet along such property.
B. Posting of fenced municipal property shall be done by posting each corner of the property.
C. Posting of poles and towers shall be done by affixing signs to two sides of the pole or tower.

8.31.120 - Signs—Definition.¶
A. "No trespass signs" means a substantial sign affixed not less than three feet, nor more than six feet above the ground and shall consist of wood or metal, with a face not less than one square foot in area and letters not less than two inches high in colors of white on black or black on white.
B. No trespass signs may further designate prohibited conduct if total entry is not prohibited.

8.31.130 - Placement of signs.¶
The actual placement of and construction of signage required hereunder shall be by administrative instructions not inconsistent with this chapter.

8.31.140 - Violations—Misdemeanor.¶
A. Every person is guilty of a misdemeanor who enters upon or goes upon or performs any act in violation of the posting.
B. It shall be a misdemeanor to destroy, tear down, deface, or remove any sign which shall prohibit or limit entry or use of any municipal property.
C. It shall be a misdemeanor to loiter in the immediate vicinity of any posted property.

8.31.150 - Applicability.¶
This chapter shall not apply to any entry by a municipal employee or any person entering with the permission of the public works director, nor any person legally picketing. Further, this section shall not apply to the use of any public right-of-way.
