6.04.010 - County animal control regulations—Adopted.¶
The following provisions of the San Bernardino County Code regarding animal control regulations and administrative citations are adopted by reference:
A. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 1, in its entirety;
B. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 14, in its entirety.
The city clerk shall maintain a copy of the County Code provisions adopted herein by reference.

6.04.020 - Violation—Penalty.¶
A. Except with respect to Section 32.0119 of the San Bernardino County Code, any person, firm, partnership, corporation or other entity in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day or portion thereof such violation is in existence shall be a new and separate offense. Any person so convicted shall be:
Guilty of an infraction offense and punished by a fine of one-hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first offense.
Guilty of an infraction offense and punished by a fine of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for a second offense.
The third and any additional offenses shall constitute misdemeanors and shall be punishable by fines of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or six months in jail, or both, regardless of the passage of time between offenses.
Notwithstanding the above, a first or second offense may be charged and prosecuted as a misdemeanor.
B. Payment of any fine or service of jail sentence shall not relieve a person, firm, partnership, corporation or other entity from the responsibility of correcting the condition resulting from the violation.
C. In addition to the above penalties, the court may order that the guilty party reimburse the city and/or county for all of its costs of investigating, analyzing, inspecting, abating and prosecuting the enforcement action against the guilty party. The court shall fix the amount of any such reimbursement upon submission of proof of such costs by the city and/or county.
D. All violations of this chapter are may be subject to enforcement through the use of administrative citations in accordance with Section 11.0208 of Chapter 2 of Division 1 of Title 1 of the San Bernardino County Code.
