4.39.201 Participation date.¶
Any person who was a participant in SRIP II on December 31, 2004 and who is a police employee on January 1, 2005 shall automatically become a participant in this plan on January 1, 2005 and shall cease being a participant in SRIP II on December 31, 2004. Each other employee who becomes a police employee on or after January 1, 2005 shall become a participant upon their date of employment, or if later, the date they become a police employee. 4.39.202 Cessation of participation.¶
Active participation in the plan continues until the first of the following occurs: the participant’s retirement, death or total disability, or the termination of the participant’s employment as a police employee. (Ord. 6837-NS § 1 (part), 2005)
4.39.203 Inactive participation.¶
A participant who ceases active participation as set out in Section 4.39.202 shall be an inactive participant (and shall not be entitled to receive any contributions under the plan) until such time as they again become a police employee or until such time as the full amount of their account is distributed or transferred to SRIP II pursuant to this plan, or their date of death if earlier. Inactive participation in the plan continues until all amounts owed under the plan have been paid or transferred. (Ord. 6837-NS § 1 (part), 2005)
