§ 9.16.010. Discharge of firearms prohibited.

No person shall shoot, fire or discharge any pistol, rifle, gun or other firearm, or any pistol, rifle or gun operated by compressed air, or a spring device, including, but not limited to, BB or pellet guns, not necessary in self-defense, or in performance of an official duty within the city.

§ 9.16.020. Resale of firearms.

A. Definitions. For the purpose of this section, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them, as set forth in this subsection:

"Merchant"

means any person conducting a business in the city.

"Secondhand firearms"

means any handgun, rifle or shotgun which is acquired by a merchant by purchase or trade from a person other than a licensed manufacturer or wholesaler of firearms for the purpose of resale.

B. Daily Reports to the Chief of Police. Every merchant who acquires secondhand firearms for resale shall report, in writing, the acquisition thereof to the chief of police, on forms provided by the chief, by twelve p.m. of the next business day following the date of acquisition.
