§ 12.12.010. Street banner defined.

The phrase "street banner" as used in this chapter, means a sign or banner made of cloth, canvas or similar material, or other similar device, designed for use to call attention to a person or an event, in or over a public street, public right-of-way or other public place.

§ 12.12.020. Prohibited.

No person shall erect, maintain, place, suspend, attach or locate a street banner, for any purpose whatsoever, in, along, over, above or across any public street, public alley or other public place or any portion thereof.

§ 12.12.030. Exempt banners.

Section 12.12.020 does not apply to any banner erected, maintained, placed, suspended, attached, located or installed: (A) by the city; (B) at the city's direction; or (C) by any party under the express authority of the city pursuant to a policy, if any, adopted by city council.
