Chapter 15.24 — MOBILE HOME PARKS

Sec. 15.24.010. - Fees for application of permit.

(a)

There shall be a fee of $50.00 for plan check to be submitted with the plans and application.

(b)

There shall be construction permit fees, plumbing and electrical fees as permitted by the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Electrical Code and the Health and Safety Code.

Sec. 15.24.020. - Mobile home parks.

The purpose of this section is to provide regulations for the use, construction and operation of mobile home parks in the city, in order to promote, protect and secure the public health, safety and general welfare.

(1)

Definitions: See State of California Administrative Code, Health and Safety Code, division 13, Part 2.1.

(2)

Fees for application of permit shall be the same as section 15.24.010.

(3)

Parking for automobiles:

a.

Two parking spaces shall be provided on the individual site for each mobile home lot in the park.

b.

Each parking space shall be a minimum size of ten feet by 20 feet, tandem parking permitted.

c.

There shall be provided for visitors and guests a minimum of one parking space for every five mobile home sites in the development. Space minimum size of nine feet by 20 feet double-striped.

d.

No mobile home site shall be further than 200 feet from guest parking. All parking shall be paved.

The following permanent improvements shall be installed on each lot prior to placing a mobile home on the lot:

a.

A concrete slab containing at least 200 square feet.

b.

All utilities shall be provided and the utilities shall be underground.

(5)

Minimum area of a mobile home park shall be 200,000 square feet.

(6)

Storage area. An open storage area shall be provided in the mobile home park for the storage of boats and trailers, and travel trailers.

(7)

Signs. One double face identification sign (park name and address only) at the main point of entry to the development not exceeding 18 square feet in area for each.

Sec. 15.24.030. - Mobile homes.

All mobile homes shall comply with the Health and Safety Code, division 13, Part 2.

Sec. 15.24.040. - Recreational trailer parks and campgrounds.

All recreational trailer parks and campgrounds shall comply with the California Administrative Code, Title 25, Health and Safety Code, division 13.

Sec. 15.24.050. - Enforcement.

The state department of housing and community development shall be the enforcement agency for the provisions of the Health and Safety Code, division 13, Part 2.1 (Mobile Home Park Act) and related regulations of the California Code of Regulations, Title 25 pertaining to mobile home parks.
