Atwater Municipal Code Ch. 9.20 Offenses Against Property

It is unlawful for any person to post, stick, stamp, print or otherwise affix or cause to be posted, stuck, stamped, printed or otherwise affixed, any bills, posters, advertisements or notice upon any tree, telephone pole, telegraph pole, fire alarm pole, electric light pole or awning in any public street or alley in this City, or upon the curbing or sidewalk of any public street or alley therein, or to mar, deface or otherwise injure any such pole.

It is unlawful for any person to affix, post, or otherwise place an advertising flyer on the windshield or other parts of vehicle without the expressed permission of the owner of said vehicle.

It is unlawful for any person to deposit, place or-discharge or to cause, suffer, or permit to be deposited, placed, or discharged, any oil, petroleum, naphtha, liquid asphaltum, or any kindred substance, water or refuse mixed with any of such substances in or upon any public street, alleys, place, or sewer of this City, or upon any private property in the City in such manner that the same will run into or upon any public street, alley, place or sewer of the City.

It is unlawful for any person to cause or permit to be discharged any wastewater from any premises owned or controlled by him into or upon any street, sidewalk, gutter or alley in this City, provided that wastewater shall not be construed to mean storm waters.

It is unlawful for any person to place, construct or maintain any structure, display, goods, wares, or advertising matter, in, along, upon or above any portion of any public right-of-way in the City.
