3.32.010 - Creation.

There is created within the system of books and accounts of the City two water funds; namely, the water capital fund and the water operating fund.

3.32.020 - Water capital fund—Sources.

There shall be deposited monthly in the water capital fund a sum equal to 25 percent of all collections made by the City pursuant to Section 13.12.060.

3.32.030 - Water capital fund—Expenditures.

Expenditures from the water capital fund shall be made only to finance construction or modification of municipally owned water production or storage facilities or improvement of existing transmission facilities and water-related equipment needs.

3.32.040 - Water operating fund—Sources.

All revenue produced from the sale of potable water supplied by municipal production facilities except as noted in Section 3.32.020 shall be deposited to the water operating fund.

3.32.050 - Water operating fund—Expenditures.

Expenditures from the water operating fund shall first be made to finance the operation and maintenance of the municipally owned water production, supply and storage facilities. Any moneys collected in excess of that needed for such operation and maintenance may be expended for any other municipal purpose.
