15.04.010 - Required—Application—Issuance.

No person, firm or corporation shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish any building or structure in the city or cause the same to be done, or cause or permit to be done any plumbing or drainage work or install within or on any building, structure or premises any electric wiring, devices, appliances or equipment or alter or add to any existing wiring, devices, appliances or equipment without first obtaining a separate building, plumbing and electrical permit for each such building or structure.

15.04.020 - Inspection of work required—Rate.

All work for which a permit is required by this chapter shall be subject to inspection by authorized inspectors appointed by the city building department who shall be paid by the permittee for inspection at the rate prescribed in most recent fee schedule as adopted by the city council. No work authorized by the permit shall be done without prior and continuous inspection thereof by the inspectors.

15.04.040 - Permit required for relocation structure—Exception.

No person, firm or corporation shall relocate on or move onto any premises in the city any building or structure without first obtaining a permit for such building or structure.

15.04.050 - Offsite improvement construction required as permit condition.

Whenever a building permit is required pursuant to this chapter, the city may require the construction of certain offsite improvements as a condition to issuance of said permit, and no final building inspection shall be performed or occupancy permit issued until such time as said offsite improvements have been completed and accepted by the city; provided, however, that where practical difficulties or unnecessary hardships result from the strict application of the requirements of this section, a variance may be granted by the city council upon the application to the city council by the permittee stating the reasons why a variance should be granted. The scope and installation of offsite improvements required by this section shall be in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 16.16 of this Code and the city's adopted improvement standards.
