Part 12 — ARCADIA BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION

2298. • CREATION.

There is hereby established the Arcadia Beautiful Commission which shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters pertaining to the improvement and beautification of the City of Arcadia, and shall provide an official entity through which the City may organize and implement plans for the improvement and beautification of the City.

The Commission shall have fifteen members who shall serve for a term of four years at the pleasure of the City Council.

The Commission shall meet in accordance with conditions established by the City Council. It shall establish procedures and rules of operation as it deems necessary to give effect to the intent and purpose of this ordinance, subject to the approval of the City Council, and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Council.

The members first appointed shall so classify themselves by lot that each succeeding July 1st, commencing in 1971, the term of four of their number shall expire until July 1, 1974, when the term of three members shall expire.
