§ 8-12.01 BUILDING PERMITS; CLEARANCE REQUIRED.

No building permit shall be issued for the construction of new residential or commercial projects until the person applying for the permit presents evidence from the Antioch Unified School District that its requirements for school impact mitigation have been satisfied.

§ 8-12.02 INAPPLICABILITY.

This chapter shall not apply to applications for building permits which will not result in a new residential or commercial building. Exemptions include permits for remodeling and additions. However, this chapter shall apply to second units being constructed on a parcel.

§ 8-12.03 ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS.

The Antioch Unified School District may promulgate rules and regulations regarding the applicability of this chapter to building permit applications. Such regulations may provide for exemptions for small projects generating less than a specified number of units, small commercial projects of less than a specified size, residential projects designed for and to be used only by persons over 50 years of age, or any other exemption which may be specified by the school district.

§ 8-12.04 CITY HELD HARMLESS.

The city shall be held harmless for any error or omission which may occur in the administration of this chapter, and the city shall not be responsible to pay to or reimburse the school district for any permit issued in violation of this chapter.
