For statutory provisions prohibiting the dumping or depositing of refrigerators and iceboxes on public property, see Health and Saf. Code §§ 4475—4476; for provisions making it an offense to discard, abandon, or leave in a place accessible to children any icebox or refrigerator without first removing the latch, see Pen. Code § 402(b).

8.12.010 - Prohibited when.

No chest or box with more than one and one-half cubic feet in capacity, with an attached latch, shall be discarded or abandoned, including refrigerators and iceboxes. A violation of any of the provisions of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor as set forth in Section 1.20.100 of this code.
