3.20.010 - Maintenance of registration book—Minors need not register—Book must be kept five years.

Every person engaged in the business of conducting or operating a hotel, inn, rooming house, lodging house, auto camp or other similar place within the county shall require all guests to register by requiring all guests to sign their names and write their addresses in a book kept for that purpose. Minor children accompanied by a parent need not sign their name or write their address in the book.

The book shall at all times be open to public inspection and must be kept for a period of not less than five years after the last registration in the book.

3.20.020 - Unlawful to register under fictitious name.

It is unlawful for any person to register at any hotel, inn, rooming house, lodging house, auto camp or other similar place within the county under the name of any other person or of a fictitious person, or to give or sign or cause to be signed, upon the register of any hotel, inn, rooming house, lodging house, auto camp or other similar place, any assumed, false or fictitious name or any name other than the true and correct name of the person so registering, or so giving or signing or causing his or her name to be signed.

3.20.030 - Ordinance to be posted.

A copy of this article shall be posted in a conspicuous place in each hotel, inn, rooming house, lodging house, auto camp, or other similar place at all times.

3.20.040 - Violation a misdemeanor—Penalties.

Any person who violates any of the provisions of this article is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment not exceeding six months in the county jail, or by both.

Every separate act or transaction in violation of this article is a separate offense.
